Seriously, when you design "average / moderately attractive" champions, their sexier versions will hit harder and sell better, just don't mess with your universe.

they have other skin lines like Battle Academia, K/DA, Arcade or Star Guardian for that - Zilean may be a grand-grand-grandpa, but he may have skin where he is a cool teenager, Volibear may be feral bear, but he can be turned into goofy panda, etc. I paid money for a book that is a canonical depiction of a world that is drastically altered to "appeal to horny young anime lovers"? Please stop designing champions(both males and females, both humans and demihumans) and their lore skins mainly as hot models or e-boys, k-pop stars, bimbos, himbos, etc. The information in this book is thoughtful and canonical, and you shouldn't find anything in it that gets retconced. They hired writers, artists, con-worlders, and probably some sort of "fantasy historians". They published a book which was a compendium of knowledge - a textbook.
I really don't understand why Riot is so inconsistent. Made by EraiViolett on Twitter - It's still not perfect, but definitely better SB Thresh is not the same Jailer Thresh that we know from years. We don't have to worry about lore compatibility of skins, except for the lore ones. Surely there were Thresh players who would pay for Daddy Thresh - as well as for Sett in flip-flops, or Rengar being a different cat species or Garen being Mecha - and good for them. And honestly? This skin was cool, because we buy skins to play with our champions, change their themes, their effects, their colours, etc. It was during the Spirit Blossom event a year ago. Well, Thresh recieved a "handsome" skin once. This doesn't work with his character, and assuming the skin won't be available for purchase, the " Must be hot to sell" argument is stupid. Seriously, I don't see the point in having Thresh materialize into a sexy edgy e-boy with a k-pop face after thousand years. Yes, Thresh was an average-looking man and a scholar who turned over the years into a psychopath and sadist who contributed to turning his homeland into an island of ghosts in order to be able to gather power and torment poor souls as scary wraith.
